Software / data / notes / fieldwork
A public notebook for small tools, data work, and questions I couldn't leave alone.
Selected work
Small systems, data experiments, and tools that became useful enough to keep.

A private place to plan trips with friends: dates, gear, route ideas, and one conversation instead of six scattered threads.
Working method
Find the awkward edge: the assumption, interface, or dataset that will not quite behave.
Make an artifact that can answer back: a model, map, program, instrument, or argument.
Keep the useful result, expose the uncertainty, and change course when the thing disagrees.
Recent notes
A working definition for separating experiments from demonstrations with the answer already baked in.
A small statement of purpose for a site that is allowed to contain useful work, unfinished work, and thought in motion.
The lab boundary
Public demos stay public. Anything private, expensive to run, or not ready for strangers gets a gate or stays offline.
